As of May 15, 2010
The first phase of Phase I of the Tahoe City Marina Master Plan is close to completion. The construction of the 304' crib wall iscomplete to protect the west portion of the new basin and a concrete wave attenuator system is protecting the south facing portion of the new basin. Thirty of the 81 proposed new slips have been installed and the available slips will be in use throughout the 2010 summer season. Construction will continue on the new sheet pile wall at the beginning of summer and will stop at the west side of the green channel markers . Marina construction will then resume in September in order to have a completed project for the 2011 summer season. Please be aware that the new crib wall will still be experiencing construction activities therefore will NOPT be open to the general public this year .
Site work construction that involve new parking, utilities and BMP's will be conducted throughout the summer, however, a great deal of effort will be used to minimize interruption to summer activities, but we ask that you be prepared for construction related noise, dust and activity during your visit to Tahoe City Marina.
Boaters should be aware that the marina entrance has changed and you will need to use caution at the entrance to avoid conflicts. Also, during night time approaches you will need to keep in mind that the entrance is different than what you are used to in the past and extra caution should be used!!
Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve and grow the facility at the Tahoe City Marina.
